It seems like the ultra competitive pricing of the new Ford EcoSport compact crossover in Indian market is finally making rivaling car makers to resort to price cuts for their products.
While Renault India hasn’t yet come out with a price cut and/or an attractive offer to prevent potential buyers from heading to Ford dealerships, Mahindra has started offering discounts/offers of upto INR 44,000 on Quanto. The benefits include-
- Free Insurance
- Exchange Bonus of Rs 10,000
- Corporate/Government Discount of Rs 6000
The list could also include a cash discount and a couple of freebies but we haven’t yet got the final word from Mahindra.

The Quanto is powered by the all new three pot 1.5 liter mCR100 engine with two –stage turbo. Peak power output is an impressive 100PS at 3750rpm, while peak torque of 250 NM is spread over a flat and wide band of 1600-2800rpm. This powerplant has been derived off the four pot 2.2 liter mHawk unit with a cylinder chopped off.
