Datsun’s entry-level hatchback, the redi-GO is scheduled to be launched on June 7, 2016. Most details about the car are already out and you can read all about it in our detailed review. The price, however, has been withheld by the company for the launch. But it seems that the car maker has accidentally revealed the price of this upcoming hatchback on its official webpage.
The base variant of the Datsun redi-GO was expected to carry a price tag between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 3 lakh. However, according to the leaked prices, mostly due to a technical glitch, this upcoming hatchback will carry a tag of Rs 2,39,500 (ex-showroom). Pre-bookings of the Datsun redi-GO began on May 1, 2016. Potential buyers could pre-book their Datsun redi-GO with a fully refundable down payment of INR 5,000 at Nissan dealerships across India.

The new Datsun redi-Go is based on the Renault Kwid platform. The new redi-Go also shares its power plant with the Renault Kwid. Propelling the redi-Go a 799cc 3-cylinder DOHC engine that delivers 54 PS of power at 5,678 rpm while the peak torque of 72 Nm comes up at 4,386 rpm. Transmission duties are performed by a 5 speed manual gearbox while the claimed fuel economy stands at 25.17 kmpl.
