Automotive supplier Continental announced that it has been selected by Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) to supply Thin Film Transistor (TFT) based instrumentation clusters for the Hyundai Creta. By adopting solutions like TFT, vehicle manufacturers in India are offering customers larger displays with higher definition.

The Creta was launched by Hyundai Motors India Limited in mid 2015as a compact SUV in India. Continental’s 3.2 inch TFT on the Creta’s interiors is an upgrade from the LCD screens conventionally used in passenger cars in India. This cluster represents the design possibilities offered by TFT technology. TFT display technology can be customized and are not just managers for the in-vehicle flow of information, but also offer quality graphics and bright colors.
