After months of testing on Indian roads and keeping us busy with reporting about the sightings, the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV has been launched in India today and goes on sale for a starting price of INR 5.49 lakhs.
The India spec Enjoy has been launched with both petrol and diesel engine options. The diesel engine variant, which is sure to be the more popular of the two variants, will be powered by the 1.3 Multijet engine that powers many cars in Indian car market. The tried and tested diesel engine develops a maximum power of 77.5 PS and a peak torque rating of 188 Nm for the Enjoy. The diesel engine has a claimed FE figure of 18.2 kmpl.
The petrol variant of the Enjoy will be powered by a 1.4 Litre four cylinder normally aspirated gasoline engine that has been derived from that of the Aveo’s petrol engine. The engine has a max power output of 103 Bhp and a peak torque figure of 131 Nm. The engine is mated to a five speed manual transmission.
The Enjoy is available in as many as three trim levels- LS, LT and LTZ. The LS variant will be available in both 7 seat and 8 seat variants. Other variants get 7 seat layout only.

The Chevrolet Enjoy has been priced very competitively and might affect the sales performance of the Nissan Evalia and the high selling Maruti Suzuki Ertiga along with being an indirect rival to the Toyota Innnova. The car looks all set have a good show in the taxi segment and might also eat into the sales of its bigger sibling, the Tavera.
