Now, we have come up with some fresh images of the recently unveiled Manza-based compact sedan to give you a better look at the latest from Tata Motors.
As per the boffins at Tata Motors, the name Zest “signifies enthusiasm for life, for the sense of excitement, anticipation, and energy it brings, approaching life as an adventure. It is all about being vivacious and energetic”.
Akin to the new Bolt hatchback, the Zest has been designed byTata Motors design studios in Pune (India), Coventry (UK) and Turin (Italy).
Powering the new Tata Zest is an all-new 1.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Revotron motor that has a max power of 85 PS @ 5,000 rpm and peak torque of 140 Nm @ 1,750-3,000 rpm. The diesel variant is powered by the tried and tested 1.3-liter Fiat-sourced Quadrajet common rail turbo diesel engine that has a max power of 90 PS @ 4,000 rpm and peak torque of 200 Nm @ 1,750-3,000 rpm.
The Zest is to the Manza what the Indigo eCS is to the Indigo and thanks to its sub-4m credentials, qualifies for excise duty benefits. The car is 3995 mm long, 1695 mm wide and 1570 mm high. The Zest tips the scales at 1,106 kg and comes with a 44 liter fuel tank.
On the inside, the new Tata Zest boasts of a Human Machine Interface system that consists of a 5-inch touchscreen display, which can be used to use features such as Bluetooth, Telephony, Navigation, Social media connectivity, and HVAC controls.
