We reported in detail when it emerged that Electronic Arts, who has released gazillion editions of Need for Speed PC games, is contemplating a movie based on the popular virtual-game series. We also reported when the official word was spread that the Need for Speed movie is slated for a launch on February 7, 2014.
Now, here we have a trailer of the upcoming flick, along with the story line and some more details.
The story- In a last attempt to save his garage, blue-collar mechanic Tobey Marshall, who with the help of a team, builds and races muscle cars, partners with wealthy ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster. Soon, a major sale to car broker Julia Bonet looks like it will save the business,. However, an unsanctioned race results in Dino framing Tobey for manslaughter. Two years later, once Tobey is out of prison, he plans a revenge. He wants to take down Dino in the popular De Leon race, which is shown to be the ultimate underground race.
Tobey then dodges cops, deals with a fallout from a dangerous bounty and what not! Only to be helped by his team and Julia and finally prove that in the world of exotics and supercars, the underdog can still be the real hero!
