HYUNDAI AVANTE/ELANTRA was reportedly caught testing in Gurgaon. Once again, Hyundai seems to be busy figuring out the answer to the problem of challenging the likes of Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic and Skoda Laura in the form of an all new Elantra a.k.a Avante.
The upcoming offering by the Korean giant has been recently caught testing at Gurgaon’s DLF Golf Course Road.
The Elantra shares a lot of it’s underpinnings with the popular Verna. Sadly, no confirmation has been given by the manufacturer so as to when the car will be launched. It may be noted that so far, Hyundai has struggled to sell it’s offerings in the the upper C segment, D segment and the entry-level SUV segment. This is excluding the honeymoon period the earlier generation of Sonata experienced.
It surely will be interesting to see what fate the ‘Fluidic Elantra’ meets when it faces cut-throat competition in the lower D segment. Remember, the popular Corolla, the sporty Civic and the diesel engine equipped Cruze will be it’s nemesis.
Lower D segment is all set to get hotter !!
