Apart from being a pretty enjoyable Stanley Kubrik directed flick, “Full Metal Jacket” aptly defines this bad boy of a Jeep Wrangler, built by California based Starwood Motors. The nomenclature refers to a type of special, armor-attacking, steel coated bullets used on the battlefield. Traditional soft lead bullets deform and disintegrate when hitting armored targets, but when surrounded by a jacket of steel, they can pose a threat even to the highest levels of armory.

The exteriors benefit from a specially developed, anti-rusting kevlar-based exterior coating that is applied to all body panels. Starwood can tint the coating in any color desired. Front fenders, rocker panels and corner guards are all hand-fabricated steel and powder coated.

Apart from that a set of beefier axles with air lockers find their way under the Jeep. The Smittybuilt SRC Stinger bumpers are fabricated as well, and the front one sports a Warn winch up front. The big, 22” wheels are wrapped in 40” Nitto Mud Grappler tires. Synergy Suspension provides the extended length coil over system in order to provide extreme articulation.

The monster Jeep retains the 285 HP V6 engine with 260 lb-ft of torque and the five speed automatic transmission. Illumination duties are taken care of by a couple of LED light bars accompanied by LED headlights and firewall mounted spotlights.
