Breathe Fresh With Maruti Suzuki’s New PM 2.5 Cabin Air Filter

The weather across the country is about to change, with which, pollution levels are set to rise again. India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, understands the harmful effects of pollution on the human body and has launched a new PM 2.5 cabin air filter for its range of cars.

The carmaker presently uses PM 10 filter for its cars. However, other rivals in the market, like Kia Sonet comes with an air filter with a virus protection system. Primarily, the COVID-19 pandemic is one of the reasons behind customers demanding an improved air protection system in their daily driver. The new PM 2.5 filter will help Maruti Suzuki stand against its rivals like MG, which offers its cars with PM 2.5 filters. Also, the new filter is made from a non-woven fabric, which comes with some electrostatic properties that help it filter out all types of diesel smoke, tobacco smoke, dust, dirt, and fly ash.

Apart from being made of high quality, electrostatic non-woven fabric, the new PM 2.5 filter will also have a downside, and that is – it can survive for a small-time period. This would lead to a shorter replacement interval of 10,000 km or every year, whichever comes earlier. The new PM 2.5 filter comes priced at Rs 599. The filter will be available for Maruti Suzuki Swift, Dzire, Ertiga, Ciaz, Baleno, Ignis, S-Cross, XL6, and the Vitara Brezza. Not only will the filter be equipped as standard on the new cars, but it can also be fitted or swapped with the currently used PM 10 filters in the existing models.

The carmaker has not only focused on the exteriors, but Maruti Swift Limited Edition also comes with Sporty Seat covers and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. The new Maruti Swift Limited Edition is available across all variants, for a small premium of Rs 24,990.
