That the BMW 7 Series facelift is headed our way is a well known piece of information. The 7 series, which is the flagship saloon from the Bavarian car maker, battles it out against the very popular Mercedes S Class and the Audi A8 among others. The 7 series has been clocking decent numbers and will continue to soldier on for a couple of years, i.e, until BMW comes up with the next generation of its flagship sedan.

We reported in detail when BMW unveiled the 7 Series Life Cycle Impulse (facelift in common speak) and now, it has emerged that the 7 Series facelift has been launched in Malaysian car market.

The BMW 7 Series Life Cycle Impulse goes on sale in Malaysia with three variants- the entry-level 730Li, the 740Li and the ActiveHybrid 7L. The Malaysian car market, very much like India, gets only the long wheel base body variant of the 7er.

On the outside, the updated 7 Series comes with a revised front fascia that consists of an all-LED headlamp assembly, a revised kidney grille and a new bumper apron. In profile, the car remains essentially the same with the only major change being the new ORVMs with integrated trafficators. At the rear, the car comes with some chrome garnishing near its tail lamps. The new car sits 8mm lower than the previous model.

On the inside, the updated 7er gets new leather seats, updated iDrive and 9.2 inches wide individual screens for rear passengers.

The Malaysia-spec BMW 7 Series comes with only one engine option in the form of the 3.0 litre six-cylinder in-line TwinPower Turbo motor that has a max power-torque outout of 258hp-310Nm in 730Li and 320hp-450Nm for the 740Li.
