BIC Time Trial on Feb 22: Open track-day for speed enthusiasts

Buddh International Circuit is organizing another iteration of its open track-day, namely BIC Time Trial on 22nd of February 2015. The event gives the common driving / riding enthusiast an opportunity to experience the limitless thrills of a racing circuit. Interested participants may get their own cars and bikes and test their skills for 60 minutes.

The entry fee for four-wheelers to participate is Rs 5000, while the two-wheelers are allowed in for a slightly lesser price of Rs 4000. Those who want to spend the full day driving around the racetrack also have an option of booking three sessions in a bunch, and they’ll get one full session for free. This is a limited period offer, though, and those who find the extended session plan interesting should book their seat ASAP. Participants can times themselves on the circuit and gauge their skill levels by comparing it with fellow participants.

The registrations for the event are now open, and those interested need to make an advance payment to Jaypee Sports International Ltd to confirm their seat.

The track day will be open to all categories of bike and car owners and the only criteria to reserve a seat for a speed enthusiast is to have a valid driving license. Prior to taking their vehicles out on the track, each car or motorbike will be first assessed by track officials. There will then be a safety briefing facilitated by BIC’s professional driving instructors to discuss the rules, safety, driving techniques, circuit information and handling emergency situations while out on the tarmac.

For cars, the drivers need to wear sleeved shirts and full length pants along with covered shoes and helmets. A goes without saying, buckling up is mandatory. For bikes, riders need to wear a full-leather riding suit with gloves, boots and helmet.
