Benda Greystone BD300-16 Cruiser Unveiled In China; Could Make Other 300cc Cruisers Feel Puny

While most of the Chinese automotive manufacturers seem to be devoid of their original designs, Benda is really carving a niche for itself with its authentic and radical designs. The Chinese bikemaker recently launched the LFC700 cruiser in its home country and to be honest, it has to be one of the most radical motorcycles of recent times, at least as far as looks are concerned. And now, Benda has showcased the Greystone BD300-16 cruiser. Small-capacity cruiser motorcycles are all the rage in developing countries and as far as looks go, the Greystone BD300-16 really managed to stand apart from the rest of the crowd.

More details

It is based on the Jinjira motorcycle but will be sold alongside the standard variant. To mark the differences between the two motorcycles, Benda has played around with the aesthetics.

While the standard Jinjira comes equipped with a drag-style handlebar, the Greystone BD300-16 makes do with a taller cruiser-like handlebar. To mark the difference even more prominently, the footpegs of the Greystone BD300-16 seem to be wider than the standard model and also, it also comes with a comfortable two-piece saddle. It also gets updated alloys and tyre setup.

The new alloy wheels wear a fatter 130-section rubber at the front instead of the 120-section unit offered in Jinjira. Also, Greystone rides on a 16-inch rear wheel wrapped in 150-section of rubber instead of a 15-inch unit on the standard model. As for highlights, the two-wheeler has an old-school cruiser design and sports a TFT instrument cluster as well as an all-LED setup for lighting.

In China, the Benda Greystone BD300-16 is expected to carry a premium of around Rs. 10,000-15,000 over the previous-generation model launched at an equivalent of Rs. 2.30 lakh. Even though the brand has no presence here, we wouldn’t mind having the Bendas here and especially, if they look like the LFC700 and the Greystone BD300-16.
