Festive season is almost at our doorsteps and this is the time of year which gives us auto enthusiasts quite a few reasons to be excited. This is the time during which car and bike manufacturers are seen coming up with various exciting offers and new products to cash in on the increased demand.

This year’s festive season too will see quite a few new vehicles coming our way. The new Octavia is very close to stepping into our car market and the Terrano will be launched later this month. Also, the new ZMR 2013, which has been in talks of late, would be stepping into the ultra competitive Indian bike market around November this year. However, it seems that the buzz around the aforementioned vehicles has made some of us completely forget about one more upcoming bike, spy pics of which took almost the entire cyber space by storm earlier this year. Yes! You might have guessed it right- We are indeed talking about the soon to be launched Bajaj Pulsar 375.

Thanks to the really competitive pricing of the KTM 390 Duke, it is almost for sure that the P375 will become an even more lucrative option in the fast growing performance Indian bike segment.  As is a well known fact, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 375 is based on the new KTM 390 Duke and looks poised to kick start a new chapter in the affordable performance bike scene of our country.

Rajiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto Ltd, has earlier said that the Bajaj Pulsar 375 would be launched during this year’s festive season, which means that the launch of the bike is just around the corner. Bajaj would market the upcoming bike as a “Super Sports” motorcycle. While we have no intentions of associating the P375 with the litre class faired machines, we are sure that the Pulsar 375 would soon become the sportiest looking product by Bajaj ever.

Visually, the bike might look very unlike the 200NS at first glance but there definitely is enough to relate the styling of the current Pulsar flagship with that of the upcoming biggie. As can be made out from careful observation of all the P375 spy pics we have seen so far, the bike seems to sport the same instrument cluster that is found on the Pulsar 200NS. Also, the pilot lamps on the P375 seem to have been placed in a typical Pulsar fashion. This isn’t all as the paint on the bike here seems to be of the same shade as that on the new generation 200cc Pulsar. Other similar details include the typical Pulsar aircraft type fuel lid, a similar cowl around the instrument panel and tank design that has a hint of that of the 200NS.

Powering the Pulsar 375 will be a revised version of the Duke’s 375cc, single cylinder motor that powers the Duke 390. The P375′s engine is being expected to have a power output of 40PS.

With such a power-packed performer coming our way, Indian bike aficionados are looking all set for a treat. Still awaiting the launch of the new Hero Karizma ZMR? *winks

  1. ^ 43Ps? u crazy, don’t compare it with KTM390, Bajaj uses cheap quality material, whereas KTM uses high quality material even TVS uses high quality material if you ever saw apache. Will wait for 200cc Apache and it should be RTR, though!

  2. Eagerly expecting the bike…

I beleive it should do atleast 43Ps as Bajaj wouldnt be compromising on anything this time.. like DOHC or FI..

The bike should weigh no less than 175kgs as kerb..

The tyres should be 110 and 140 section..
