Bajaj has officially invited automobile magazines and blogs to for the launch of its new commuter motorcycles, the Discover 150S and 150F on Monday, August 11 in the presence of Managing Director, Rajiv Bajaj.

Both the motorcycles share the same 150cc 4-stroke 4-valve unit. As reported earlier, the semi-faired version of the Discover family, the 150F was spotted at a dealership and is expected to be launched soon. The 150S was also seen at a dealership stockyard. The company has remained silent about the power figures but we expect it to be a tad lower than that of the Pulsar 150. The Discover 150F will get a five-speed gearbox.

Other features include front disc brake, MRF Nylogrip Zapper tyres and a monoshock suspension setup at the back.

Bajaj plans to woo the young audience with the Discover 150F who want a good looking motorcycle with decent fuel economy. However, we feel that Bajaj may miss the target as there are better looking motorcycles in the market like the Hero Ignitor and the Honda Stunner.

With the addition of these two Discover motorcycles, the total number of motorcycles in the Discover family goes up to eight. We feel that Bajaj should seriously consider introducing a new model rather than keep adding more and more variants of the same motorcycle.

What do you think of the addition of two more Discover motorcycles rather than introduction of an entirely new model? Share your opinions through comments below. Stay tuned into Motoroids for all the updates from the world of auto.
