Mercedes Benz India has pioneered the luxury car market in India, starting 1994 and now boasts of a 130 years of innovation in the luxury automobile industry globally. The ongoing Auto Expo 2016 is witnessing the unveiling / showcasing of 12 products from the Mercedes Benz stable among which the S-Class Cabriolet and GLC are stealing the limelight. These global products were introduced in India for the first time by Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes Benz India. He said, the Auto Expo has today evolved into a global motor show and represents the burgeoning Indian auto industry. We chose this platform to showcase the best products from our global portfolio for our discerning Indian customers, partners and brand enthusiasts.
The S-Class Cabriolet and the GLC are two of the most successful products from the Mercedes Benz global lineup. The company is expected to introduce both to the Indian market later this year. The introduction of these two cars in the Indian lineup is expected to strengthen the company’s presence in the two segments that saw a huge growth in 2015 – the SUV and the Dream Cars. S-Class Cabriolet will add a new dimension to the top end luxury cars in India an the GLC will boost the SUV offering even further. The GLC is considered as a dynamic SUV which combines best of both on-road and off-road capabilities.
The new GLC also offers ‘Dynamic Select’ handling control system in addition to the Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual which are common in other models. The new Dyamic Select comes with five driving programs as standard. The increasing demand for SUVs along with a fad for high end luxury cars is sure to push the market presence of the GLC in the Indian sphere. The S-Class Cabriolet shall also find takers due to it being an epitome of the luxury lineup from the German automaker.
