Indian UV major Mahindra and Mahindra revealed newer products for its electric vehicle portfolio with the unveiling of new E-Verito. The E-Verito is the greener version of Mahindra’s sedan, the Verito. The new Electric Vento sedan is propelled by the latest electric drive train from Mahindra Reva and is claimed to be a 100 percent zero emission green vehicle. The engine comes mated to an automatic transmission.
The sedan can be charged at home and you can also shell out some extra bucks to buy the top end variant which comes with a quick charge feature. The quick charger feature gets you a full battery charge in about two hours. The Mahindra E-Verito comes with a claimed battery life of 100 kms in one charge depending on the vehicle loading.
Mechanical details include a 72V 3-Phase AC induction motor that delivers 30.5 kW or 41 hp of power at 3500 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm. The E-Verito can reach a top speed of 86 kph. The E-Verito also gets an ECO drive mode and remote diagnostics which include real time and immediate assistance. The gross weight of the vehicle stands at 1700 kg. Braking duties are performed by a disc brake upfront and drum brakes at the rear.
