Audi to enter luxury MPV market in 2016

Not satisfied with giving a tough fight to luxury sedans and SUVs from arch rivals Mercedes and BMW, Audi is now contemplating adding a luxury MPV to the well sorted line up of its cars. To be launched in 2016, the upcoming MPV will be based on a modified MQB platform and will be a seven seater. The 2016 Audi MPV could measure 4.5 meters in length and will be positioned as a volume seller. The power options will be TFSI and TDI motors and safely expect the MPV to come with a Quattro option. Mercedes Benz India recently brought its B Class MPV to us and one can safely expect the Audi MPV to come to our shores. We wonder if BMW too is up to something similar. Fingers crossed.
