Anand Mahindra appointed as Trustee for London’s Natural History Museum

Mahindra and Mahindra’s Chairman and Managing Director, Anand Mahindra, has been appointed as new Trustee for London’s Natural History Museum. Mahindra will bring, to the Museum Board, a depth of expertise in business and leadership and his co-opted appointment is for an initial four-year term from 1 January 2015.

He has held a series of progressively senior roles in the Mahindra Group, having started his career at Mahindra Ugine Steel Company (MUSCO). He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, having also completed undergraduate studies at Harvard College.

Speaking about the new appointment, Lord Green, chair of the Trustees of the Natural History Museum said, “Anand Mahindra’s renowned business acumen and international vision is an excellent addition to our board. I am delighted to welcome him as a Trustee and look forward to working with him to forge even stronger links with the global business community.”

“I am deeply honoured by this appointment and look forward to contributing my thoughts and ideas to the board. At a time of profound change, institutions like the Natural History Museum will play an increasingly critical role in developing solutions to pressing global challenges,” added Anand Mahindra.
