Aditya Patel grabbed the fifth position in the Audi R8 LMS Cup, held at the Penbay International circuit in Taiwan. Aditya started on the eighth position on the grid.

While female driver Rahel Frey and Alessio Picariello grabbed position from Pole sitter Alex Yoong in lap one, the rest of the field found themselves bunched up behind a hard defending Yoong for the entire duration on the race. Patel eventually finished 7th after moving down the order and coming back up a couple of places.

After starting 7th on the Grid in race two, Patel got off to a strong start and moved up a couple of places but once again found himself stuck behind Yoong and team-mate Frank Cheng. While both Patel and Cheng tried everything in the book to pass Yoong for a podium finish, the former F1 driver pulled out all his tricks to keep them behind for all 17 laps of the race.

While Aditya achieved a strong 5th place finish, the race was won by Alessio Picariello, who now leads the championship over Yoong. The final race will be a support race to WEC in Shanghai on November 5th.
