New spy images reveal that a mildly updated, Indonesian made Honda Brio will be launched at the 2015 GIIAS ( GAIKINDO Indonesia International AUTO SHOW), later this month (August). Updates will be in line to the refreshed Brio launched in Thailand in 2013, which include a ‘rear decorative plate’ with tell-tale badges and a chrome applique. The face-lift also adds shiny new alloy wheels from the Jazz and front fog lamps.
The interiors will now be feature an all-black theme, which will extend to the dashboard, as well as the seats. Also on the offing will be electric folding mirrors, and a new audio system. The face-lift will only be applicable for the 1.2l and Sports 1.3l variants, with the low-cost Satya variant being exempted.
In Indonesia, the Honda Brio is available with two engine options – a 1.3-litre, i-VTEC engine delivering 100PS of power and 127 Nm of torque (Brio Sports), and a 1.2-litre, i-VTEC engine good for 88 PS of power and 109 Nm of torque for the A,S and E trims. A choice of manual and automatic transmissions (both 5-speed) are available.
Whether or not, these updates are carried over to the India made Brio remain to be seen.
