After making the Range Rover Sport SVR hustle around the Nürburgring in 8 minutes and 14 seconds flat, making it the quickest production SUV in history, Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations is back. This time, they go around fettling a Jaguar F-TYPE, and the resultant F-TYPE SVR naturally becomes the lightest, fastest and more powerful of its kind, aside from the exclusive, 575 hp F-TYPE Project 7.
Capable of reaching 200 mph (320 km/h; 313 km/h for the convertible), the new F-TYPE SVR is the first Jaguar SVR and is developed “to exploit the two-seat aluminium sports car’s full potential while retaining its day-to-day usability”. The supercharged 5.0 litre, V8 engine in the F-TYPE SVR will be good for a Project 7 matching 575 hp, along with 700 Nm of torque; up from the standard F-Type R‘s 550 hp and 680 Nm of torque. The F-TYPE SVR, with all-wheel drive, will decimate the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.7 seconds.

The new Jaguar F-TYPE SVR will make its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show on 01 March and will go on sale in summer 2016.
