The upcoming D segment crossover/MPV by Maruti, known as the Invicto, is indeed expected to be based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, which was introduced last year. Maruti has collaborated with Toyota for this project, and the Invicto will be manufactured at Toyota’s facility in Bidadi.

Nexa
Maruti Suzuki has chosen to market its premium models, such as the Baleno, Ignis, Grand Vitara, Jimny, and potentially the Invicto, through its dedicated dealership network called Nexa. Nexa aims to offer a more premium and exclusive buying experience to customers, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and a distinctive retail environment.
With the launch of the Invicto, Maruti Suzuki is positioning itself to enter the higher segment and capitalize on the popularity of the Innova. This flagship product represents Maruti’s endeavor to establish a presence in the premium market, an area where it had faced challenges in the past with models like the Kizashi.
Features
The Invicto is highly anticipated to be equipped with a wide range of features that are currently utilized in the Innova Hycross. These features are expected to enhance the overall driving experience and provide an array of advanced functionalities such as.
- Panaromic Sunroof
- 360 Degree Parking Camera
- 9 speaker JBL sound System
- Automatic driver seats with memory function
- LED lights
- Three-Zone climate control

Powertrain
Unlike the old Innova, the new Invicto will feature a Monocoque chassis and will power the front wheels only same as seen on the Innova Hycross. It will also feature a Strong Hybrid 2.0L Four cylinder engine with an E-CVT motor with a claimed Power of 183.72bhp and Torque of 260Nm. It boats a pretty healthy amount of power whilst having a good fuel economy due to its strong hybrid assistance.
Price
Invicto, a vehicle that shares everything with the Innova Hycross. However, when it comes to making a decision, pricing becomes a crucial factor. While the official pricing has not been announced yet, we anticipate that the base model will be priced at around 30 lakhs, with the top variant costing approximately 30.72 lakhs. This places the Invicto at a premium of about 1 lakh rupees over the Innova Hycross.
Variants
The Innova Hycross comes in two options a ZX and a ZX(O), similar two models might come for Maruti’s Invicto called the Alpha and the Alpha Plus. Alpha Plus is supposedly the one with the full ADAS suite and an option to have Ottoman seats.
