The Upcoming Hyundai Elantra N-Line Gets A 276-HP Power Mill

Hyundai is known to launch performance-oriented cars under their N line which is characterized by the N design language and performance elements. The powertrains are shared with their regular siblings and are easily recognized by their design. The N line is perfect for enthusiasts who crave performance and sharp looks. Recently, Hyundai has been teasing the launch of their new product since last year. And now we have the performance numbers and some leaked images. This will be their 6th product to the line-up.  This new car will be based on their premium sedan Elantra. Other N-line products are I10, I30, Sonata, Kona, and Tuscon.

Exterior Design

As this will be a performance-oriented car, there are some sporty titbits we can observe from the leaked images. The rear taillights get LEDs with a T-shaped design. There is a spoiler attached to the back which will eventually help the vehicle with aerodynamics at high speeds. We can also notice that there is a single exhaust set up on both sides. As it’s the N Line to the core, the iconic blue paint job with red side skirts look mind-blowing.  The diamond-cut alloys which are wrapped around Michelin Pilot sport tires look rad. The N line brake callipers can also be seen finished in red.

Interior

There are no leaked images of the interior, however, they will likely be finished in black and red contrasting stitch. The Elantra N will carry all the bells and whistles from the regular Elantra including the touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and ventilated seats.

Performance

Under the hood, there will be a massive 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine which will churn out a healthy 276 bhp. This will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed DCT automatic. The car is likely to get limited-slip deferential and multiple drive modes. The report states that Elantra N can go 0-100 kmph under a mind-boggling six seconds and the top speed could touch the 250 kmph mark with ease.
