2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift Expected To Launch By Mid August

The Skoda Slavia is a name that has become synonymous with premium styling, strong build quality, and fun-to-drive performance. First introduced globally in 2022 and launched in India in early 2023, the Slavia arrived as the spiritual successor to the ageing Rapid. Since then, it has remained among the best-selling sedans in its segment. Now, after being spotted testing several times on Indian roads, the facelifted Slavia is expected to make its debut by mid-August.

As this is a facelift and not a completely new generation model, the sedan will continue to use the same MQB A0 IN platform. So, buyers should not expect a complete makeover. The updates will mainly bring a fresher design, more features and a few mechanical improvements.

Fresh Exterior Updates

The Slavia facelift will get noticeable styling revisions without changing its overall shape. Expected exterior changes include:

  • Revised front grille with a new design
  • Slimmer LED headlamps with updated lighting elements
  • Connected LED light bar at the front
  • New front bumper
  • Newly designed 17 inch alloy wheels
  • Redesigned LED tail lamps connected by a light bar
  • Updated rear bumper and tailgate styling
  • Illuminated Skoda lettering at the rear on higher variants

The side profile and dimensions are expected to stay the same as the current model.

Cabin To Get More Tech

The dashboard layout will look familiar, but Skoda is expected to add a few upgrades inside the cabin. Some expected changes include:

  • New interior colour theme
  • Updated seat upholstery
  • Larger 10.25 inch digital driver’s display
  • 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Front parking sensors
  • Rear seat massage function similar to the Kushaq

Many existing features are also likely to continue.

  • Ventilated front seats
  • Single pane electric sunroof
  • Automatic climate control
  • Rear AC vents
  • Wireless phone charger
  • Premium sound system
  • Leatherette upholstery
  • Six airbags
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system
  • Electronic Stability Control

Level 2 ADAS is still not expected on the facelift.

Engine Options Stay The Same

Skoda is expected to continue with the same turbo petrol engine options.

EnginePowerTransmission
1.0 litre TSI turbo petrol115 PS, 178 Nm6 speed Manual, New 8 speed Automatic
1.5 litre TSI turbo petrol150 PS, 250 Nm7 speed DSG

One of the biggest updates is expected to be the new 8 speed torque converter automatic gearbox for the 1.0 litre engine. It is likely to offer smoother gear shifts and a better driving experience in city traffic.

Expected Price

The facelifted Slavia is expected to carry a starting price of around Rs 10.99 lakh (ex showroom). Skoda could also introduce better equipped lower variants, similar to what it recently did with the updated Kushaq.

Rivals

Once launched, the 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift will continue to compete with:
