This hybrid variant, sitting atop the AMG GT lineup, boasts an impressive 805 horsepower and a monstrous 1,420 nm of torque, making it a true powerhouse on the road.

Under the hood, the GT63 S E Performance features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine paired with a rear-mounted electric motor. This innovative hybrid system delivers a staggering 805 horsepower, providing exhilarating performance that propels the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds. With a top speed of 199 mph, the GT63 S E Performance is sure to leave a lasting impression.
Battery Technology
Feeding power to the electric motor is a lightweight 6.1-kWh AMG-specific battery located above the rear axle. This battery incorporates a direct cooling system that ensures optimal performance by maintaining consistent temperatures across its 560 cells. Mercedes’ advanced coolant technology offers improved thermal energy storage compared to conventional systems, providing enhanced efficiency and reliability. The battery can be recharged using a 3.7-kW on-board AC charger, offering convenience and flexibility for owners.
Driving Dynamics
The GT63 S E Performance is equipped with a range of driving modes, including an all-electric setting, Sport, Sport+, and Race. Additionally, the hybrid AMG features four levels of regeneration for the battery, allowing for customizable driving experiences tailored to individual preferences. Mercedes has also implemented active ride control and rear-wheel steering, enhancing both comfort and agility.
Design and Features
Visually, the GT63 S E Performance remains largely unchanged from its predecessors, with subtle design enhancements that accentuate its performance pedigree. The addition of a charging port at the rear, red “GT 63 S” badge, and “E Performance” badges on the front fenders distinguish this model from the standard GT63. Inside, the car offers power-adjustable AMG sports seats with a massage function, along with optional performance bucket seats and a variety of upholstery choices.
Availability and Pricing
The GT63 S E Performance can arrive in India in 2025. While Mercedes has not yet announced official pricing, it is expected to exceed INR 1.5 crore for the standard model and 2 crore for the performance model.
