TVS Racing concluded the selection round for the 2023 TVS One Make Championship yesterday. Petronas TVS Racing, India’s first factory racing team, has shortlisted its riders from the 4 main categories viz. women, media, expert, & rookie riders.
A total of 16 women riders, along with 16 riders from the media category and 12 each from the rookie and expert categories, have been selected for the seventh edition of the TVS One Make Championship to be held in Chennai in 2023.
About The Selection Round
The selection round had four categories – rookie, women’s, media, and expert – and the women racers participated on the race-spec TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, while the expert category racers rode the RR 310. Petronas TVS Racing has trained over 5,000 new racers and offered training to more than 500 young women riders in India. The rookie and media category racers were evaluated on TVS Apache RR 200 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, respectively.
The team designed a rigorous and competitive selection process that enabled them to assess the riders’ skills, evaluate their latest achievements, and then on the basis of their lap timings select the fastest riders. This process ensured that only the most exceptional candidates have been shortlisted to participate in the championship.
