JLR India, formerly known as Jaguar Land Rover India, introduced the 2024 Range Rover Velar facelift to the Indian market. Priced at Rs 94.3 lakh (ex-showroom, India), this luxury SUV is exclusively available in a single trim, offering buyers a choice between a four-cylinder turbo-petrol or diesel engine. Bookings for the facelifted Velar began on July 25th.
Exterior Upgrades
While the overall design of the luxury SUV remains largely unchanged, JLR has made subtle exterior tweaks. These include a revised front bumper, an updated grille, and a tweaked bumper. The SUV also sports a fresh set of alloy wheels. Rear-end alterations are minimal, with the most notable change being the inclusion of new LED guide lamps in the tail lights. Furthermore, the ‘Pixel LED’ headlights are now standard.
Interior Enhancements
Inside the 2023 Range Rover Velar, JLR has introduced several changes. These encompass a redesigned dashboard with fewer physical controls on the center console. The most significant alteration is the introduction of the new 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system, which integrates additional in-car functions, including driving modes.
Top-Tier Features and Powertrain Options
As the 2023 Velar is exclusively available in the top-spec HSE trim, it comes equipped with a comprehensive array of features. These include four-zone climate control, 360-degree cameras, powered front seats with heating and ventilation functions, a powered tailgate, a Meridian sound system, Terrain Response 2 off-road modes, and air suspension.
Under the hood of the 2023 Range Rover Velar, you’ll find a 2.0-liter petrol engine producing 246 bhp and 365 Nm of torque. It is also available with a 2.0-liter Ingenium diesel engine delivering 201 bhp and 420 Nm of torque. Both engine options are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels.
