2023 Hyundai Verna Leaked Ahead of its Launch

Hyundai is on the verge of introducing the new generation of its mid-size sedan, the Verna. Hyundai cars are known for their premium quality and are loaded with features and the new generation Verna will be no different. Plenty of past spy snippets have sparked the excitement of the audience.

Recently, Hyundai has teased the Verna officially and bookings are commenced. Now, images of the Hyundai Accent have surfaced on the internet. The Hyundai Verna is actually sold as the Hyundai Accent in Asian markets. Given the leaks and the official teasers shared by Hyundai, we can safely assume that this is what the 2023 Hyundai Verna will look like

Aesthetics of the exterior Profile

The 2023 Hyundai Verna is equipped with an array of eye-catching features that include the elongated LED daytime running lights with a slim panel running across the width of the car, tri-beam LED headlamps, a sharp front lip, a bold front grille with a gloss black finish, a broad air dam, fog lamps, LED taillights that are connected via a light bar running across the tailgate, slim bumpers with black cladding and a faux skid plate, and striking alloy wheels that add to the car’s overall beauty and sophistication. However, this particular unit boasts the Accent emblem, Indian version will get the Verna moniker at the tailgate.

The Verna’s exterior profile also features the 3D panels designed by parametric design philosophy, sculpted lines and contours, giving it a dynamic and modern design. The lower edges of the windows and rear end of the car are garnished with a smooth and stylish satin-chrome trim adding a touch of elegance to the overall design. The all-new 2023 Hyundai Verna represents a significant upgrade to the mid-size sedan, based on an entirely new platform that features the brand’s latest Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy. Variants and features of Hyundai Verna

Hyundai Verna is expected to be offered in 4 different variants with the optimum distribution of features:- EX, S, SX and SX(O). The turbo petrol engine will be limited to the SX and SX(O) variants only. With the addition of the sunroof, it will be a welcome addition, enhancing the experience of users with an opportunity to

bask in the natural light and enjoy a more immersive and engaging driving experience. Furthermore, Hyundai Verna will be brimmed with a plethora of features including the ADAS enriching the immersive driving experience of the users.

Powertrain Options

Hyundai is set to offer buyers two distinct engine options and four gearbox combinations in the upcoming 2023 Verna. The base engine will be a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that is capable of producing 115 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or an IVT transmission. However, the real showstopper will be the 1.5-liter four-cylinder T-GDI turbo petrol engine that delivers an impressive 160 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.

The customers will have the option to choose the optimum transmission fulfilling their convenient experience of driving. Transmission options will be consisting of a six-speed manual gearbox for both engines.  However, there will be an option of an IVT transmission for base engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission for the range-topping T-GDI engine. Unfortunately, Hyundai has decided not to include a diesel engine option for this latest generation of the Verna.

The competition

Upon its launch, Hyundai Verna will be faced off against its formidable rivals such as Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia.
