Honda recently launched the 2021 iteration of the Gold Wing Tour in India at a starting price of INR 37.20 Lakh, while the top-of-the-line DCT Airbag variant is priced at a whopping INR 39.16 Lakh.

And now, the Japanese bikemaker has made it official that the first lot of the updated Grand Tourer has been sold out in India.

Another factor that contributes to its popularity is the fact that it has been present here for ages. People are familiar with the cult motorcycle and if someone is looking for a premium Grand Tourer, the Gold Wing makes the most sense. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has released a press statement revealing that the new Honda Gold Wing Tour was completely booked within 24 hours of the commencement of the bookings. However, the company has not revealed the total number of units of the luxury touring motorcycle that were available in the first lot.

The luxury touring motorcycle receives a reworked and enhanced comfort for the passenger seat. The Tour models from the GL1800 line up also get a redesigned backrest and a more relaxed backrest inclination angle for the passenger seat. The profile has also been made taller and the improved adding also makes the passenger seat a better place. The Tour models get synthetic leather seat covers.

Mechanically, it is powered by the same 1833cc, flat 6 cyl, liquid-cooled engine that puts out 123BHP @5500 RPM of peak power and 170Nm @4500 RPM of peak torque. This comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with electric reverse gear and a 7-speed DCT gearbox. It gets discs on both brakes with dual-channel ABS. It gets a double-wishbone setup at the front and a pro-link setup at the rear.
