Spotted testing on public roads in India for the first time here in the images is the upcoming 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift. The new S-Cross facelift, as reports suggest is likely to be launched by Maruti Suzuki during the festive season this year.
Although the test-mule of the S-Cross facelift is wrapped under heavy camouflage, a spy image reveals the projector unit for the headlamps that is likely to be LED powered. The test-mule in the images does not reveal any other details of the facelift avatar, but the India-spec 2017 S-Cross is likely to retain the same design as the international spec model that was revealed at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
A few other updates on the S-cross facelift will include LED DRLs, a wider chrome grille with vertical slats, redesigned bumper, new alloy wheels and new tail lamps with LED inserts. There are no updates regarding any updates to the interior.
Being a facelift model, the 2017 S-Cross will be powered by the same set of engines as the current generation model. These options will include a 1.3-litre diesel engine and a 1.6-litre diesel engine. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a five speed manual transmission for the 1.3-litre unit and a six speed manual transmission for the 1.6-litre unit.
