The new 2017 Aprilia RSV4 RF, along with RSV4 RR, shared the pavilion with the updated Tuono duo at the 2016 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. The motorcycle, for 2017, gets updated rider aids, latest hardware and an Euro IV compliant motor. The Euro IV compliance was achieved without any loss in power output. So the 2017 RSV4 duo continues to squeeze out 201 PS of power at 13,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 10,500 rpm from the 999.6 cc V4 65°, liquid cooled engine. The engine receives Ride By Wire with three engine mappings (Sport, Race, Track).
Both the RSV4 models get Öhlins NIX upside-down fork upfront. However, at the rear, the RR model gets Sachs single shock absorber while the RF variant gets Öhlins TTX single shock absorber. The latest APRC package includes APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) system including traction control (ATC), wheelie control (AWC), launch control (ALC), quick shift (AQS), cruise control (ACC), pit limiter (APL), cornering ABS, all independently settable and de-selectable. V4-MP system V4-MP system which connects the smartphone to the bike comes as standard on the RF model while it’s an optional accessory on the RR variant.
