The Nissan Sunny is known as the Nissan Versa in United States and the Japanese car maker has showcased the hatchback variant of the car at the ongoing Detroit Motor Show.

Christened as the Nissan Versa Note, the car is underpinned by the much publicized Nissan V Platform and the Versa Note is positioned above the Micra in Japanese and European markets.

Powering the car is a 1.6 litre, 4 cylinder, gasoline motor that has a healthy power output of 109 bhp. However, the new car is less powerful than its predecessor by a good 23bhp. The new Versa Note comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox with a CVT transmission being offered as an option.

The manufacturer claims that the Versa Note has class leading boot space of 605 litres. The hatchback is loaded to the brim with features like a four speaker audio system, heated front seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, USB input with iPod control and steering-mounted audio controls.

One of our favourite features on this car is the Around View Monitor which makes parking a breeze.
