The upcoming 2014 Hyundai i10 has been spotted testing in India on numerous occasions. The i10 will be produced at the Korean auto giant’s manufacturing facility in India and ours would probably be one of the first few markets to get the new generation of the popular hatchback.

The 2014 Hyundai i10, which might be sold in India under the ‘Brilliant’ moniker, has been yet again spotted testing in Chennai. It may be noted that we haven’t yet come across pics of completely undisguised test mules and every new spy pic that we lay our hands on seems to reveal a bit more about the upcoming car’s design.

The latest spy shots have revealed the window line of the upcoming car. Another spy pic that we have here also reveals the interiors of the 2014 i10 but from the looks of it, these interior panels don’t appear to be the ‘real deal’ and might instead be put in use to mislead the media.

The upcoming generation of i10 will be larger than the current car and would hence offer more interior space. The best part about the upcoming car is that it will be sold in India with both diesel and petrol engine options!

The diesel engine that will be found powering the next generation of i10 is a 1.1 liter 3 cylinder turbocharged unit which is currently being offered on the UK spec i20. This engine produces a max power output of 74 bhp and has low CO2 emissions. The petrol variants will continue to be powered by the 1.2 liter Kappa2 engine that powers the current car. However, the dated 1.1 litre iRDE motor that powers the entry level variants of the current car will be shown the door and the base variants of the next gen i10 will be powered by a new 1.0 litre 3 cylinder mill that will have similar power figures.

The all new i10, which has been codenamed as BA, will make its global debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year.
