More details have emerged about the eagerly awaited 2013 Porsche 911 GT3.
It is being said that the upcoming GT3 will be the quickest and the most extreme GT3 to have ever come from the German performance car manufacturer. The new car will be powered by a 3.8 litres flat-six motor that will rev all the way to moon (10,000 rpm), with the redline starting from 9,000 rpm.
The flat-six boxer engine will have power in excess of 450 hp (335 kW).
The car will be built on a wide body chassis borrowed from the Carrera 4 and will come with a rear wing that has a third brake light. The car will ride on black mags draped in 245/20 spec Dunlop Sport MAXX tires at front and 305/20 spec Dunlops at rear. On the inside, the car will get black interiors with faux silver inserts.
The car will come with creature comforts like a sat nav, touchscreen entertainment system and aircon. Hardcore track drivers, however, need not be disappointed as Porsche is also working on a Clubsport variant of the GT3 which will feature a rear roll cage and a bare basic interior setup.
