A fortnight back, two of us from motoroids were spending sleepless nights to bring the highlights of the Delhi Auto Expo to our readers. We talked about the Jaguars on display at Tata’s hall in the Pragati Maidan, Delhi. We also talked about the souped up Indica Vista, Prima sedan and covered the launch of the Safari Storm. The car that we are going to talk about is the one that we could not help but ignore for a while. However, one look at the press release made it dawn on us that this concept can really help Tata with getting better sales in the C segment. The Manza Nova concept we saw was dressed in a Spanish Tan colour that helped the car with looking a bit upmarket. A look at the footwear revealed that the sedan is wearing a set of new and stylish alloy wheels that add to the elegance of the exterior. The interiors get a good dosage of genuine leather seats and the Plum and Black interior scheme adds to the premium factor. As with every ‘top of the line’ variant of a mid sizer, the gear knob, parking lever, instrument cluster and HVAC controls get chrome accents. But this is not all as the car comes with a double DIN In Car Entertainment (ICE) head unit with new speakers. The car also sports a (borrowed from Safari VX?) ‘parking assist rear view camera’ that has the display integrated in to the inside rear-view mirror (IRVM). Our favorite has to be the auto dimming feature on the IRVM. We expect this car to soon hit the market and replace the ‘Elan’ version.
