The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is the elder sibling of TUV300 and is priced at Rs 9,78,122 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The TUV300 Plus can shuttle nine passengers at once. It derives power from a mHawk diesel mill, mated to a manual gearbox.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is available in three different variants - P4, P6 and P8. Based on the TUV300, this Plus variant has been stretched to accommodate 9 passengers in its cabin. The SUV gets some noteworthy styling elements around the body such as blacked-out B-pillar, a spare wheel at the rear gate and 16-inch wheels. In terms of dimensions, the TUV300 Plus is 4400 mm long, 1835 mm wide, 1812 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2680 mm. The SUV has a turning radius of 5.35 mm. Up front, the SUV employs a bold looking grille along with aggressive looking headlamps and fog lamps. Overall, the Mahindra TUV300 Plus cuts an image of a tough people mover.
On the inside, the cabin of the Mahindra TUV300 Plus feels roomy. The SUV can accommodate nine passengers. However, the last row of the car is vertically placed where passengers sit facing each other on either side. The SUV provides a luggage space of 696-litres, which is expandable up to 888-litres. The centre console employs a touchscreen infotainment system which supports Bluetooth, GPS navigation, USB photo viewer and video player.
The TUV300 Plus gets steering mounted controls, faux leather seats and the A/C works pretty well in chilling out car's cabin in quick time. Passengers can also charge their phones with the help of charging sockets available in the 1st and 2nd row. The instrument cluster consists of an analogue speedometer and tachometer along with a digital display in the middle which provides information regarding fuel and distance. The driver and co-driver's seat gets lumbar support, while the former is also adjustable for height and gets a storage tray underneath.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is built upon a strong and sturdy body frame borrowed from the Scorpio. The SUV is built with a high-strength steel body shell and comes equipped with safety features like ABD with EBD, dual-airbags, anti-theft steering lock, collapsible steering column, cornering brake control, seat belt reminder lamp, rear defogger and speed sensitive auto-door lock.
Powering the Mahindra TUV100 Plus is a 2.2-litre, mHAWK, diesel engine which churns-out respective power and torque output of 121 Ps at 4000 rpm and 280 Nm at 1800-2800 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual gearbox and there's an ECO mode which maximises fuel efficiency. A Micro Hybrid system also makes use of brake energy regeneration to enhance efficiency. Fuel tank capacity stands at 60-litres The engine is very tractable and scores high on driveability as the first three gears are short and make ideal use of the torque available. The car is rated for fuel efficiency of up to 18.49 km/l.

The TUV 300 Plus is essentially a long-wheelbase variant of the TUV 300 from Mahindra. That said, it is more than a long wheelbase variant and offers refreshing looks and a new engine. The car has some design elements from the Italian design house Pininfarina, making it a rather good-looking vehicle and quite proportionate. Mahindra claims it to be a nine-seater with a foldable bench on both sides of the rear compartment. We tested it out and here is our review of the vehicle.
