The third installment of the India Bike Week or simply IBW 2015 was held on 20th-21st February at Vagator, Goa. This exciting event means two days of packed activity with lots of bikes to see and more to hear apart from the rumbling exhausts, thanks to an eclectic mix of music bands and artists. So what did you miss? Read on for the Highlights of IBW 2015:
The Big Trip: Quite simply, this was a showcase of achievements of the wandering souls on two wheels. Stunning travel documentaries and video blogs sharing the biker experiences. The Big Trip also had renowned speakers who have made their own mark in the world of touring on two wheels. Ace Cafe’s Mark Wilsmore was one of the major highlights of the Big Trip speakers.
Bike Builders Collective: Appreciation of the talent in the modifying and customization world. A place where the ‘doers’ come together in proud display of their skills. Massive participation in this event saw some of the brilliant customs one can see in the country.
Howling Dog Drag: The ultimate for the speed maniacs, yes, this was the way to quench the need for speed of the bikers and biking enthusiasts. Time to settle things on the black top, this 1km drag race was hugely cheered.
Dirt Challenge: A small course designed for the “off-road” enthusiasts. If drags are not your type of fun, then the Dirt Challenge could surely be one.
The IBW Arena: The arena was almost the definition of what a biker would love to experience at a bike festival. The short list comprised of Stunts, Dyno wars, BBQ, 3 Music stages pumping our ground stomping music, bikini bike wash (Yes, you read it right!!), Riding gears, Bike Customization, Accessories et al.
Shell India, DSK Benelli India and Triumph Motorcycles India took this as a great opportunity to launch and showcase their upcoming offerings.
