The new 2019 Hero Karizma is an all-new, fully-faired version of the Hero Xtreme 200R. It gets an updated design, along with a few new features which it will share with the upcoming XPulse 200.
The 2019 Karizma gets a lot of design upgrades. Starting with the sharp front fairing, which provides a more mean and aggressive look, it also serves the purpose of aerodynamics. The front fairing surrounds the sharp twin headlight setup, which also houses an adequately-sized windscreen. The vibrant orange body paint is paired with some dark highlights for contrast. The bike also gets black alloys with orange accents. The fairing further continues from the front to the fuel tank, covering most of the parts except the engine crankcase, that’s left exposed for better engine cooling.
The instrument cluster consists of standard switches, with a fully digital screen which is similar to the unit on the upcoming Xpulse 200 and could be Bluetooth-enabled. The rear gets a 7-step adjustable mono-shock suspension, while the front gets the traditional telescopic forks. The headlight is also expected to have LED DRLs and LED position lamps.
The Karizma is equipped with front and rear disc brakes which could be governed with a single-channel ABS system. The bike will be based upon a light-weight, diamond type frame, and 17" wheels which will most probably be wrapped in MRF rubber.
In terms of power, the new Karizma could be propelled by the same motor which powers the Xtreme 200. It is a 199.6cc single cylinder motor which cranks out 18.4 bhp @ 8000 rpm and 17.1 Nm @ 6500 rpm. The new Karizma gets a new-gen programmed FI Engine with an oil cooler. The 16 bit ECU processor scans the engine environment through hi-tech sensors & delivers the next level of performance. The bike will also get a 5-speed Multi-Plate Wet Clutch transmission. The bike will most likely be capable of hitting a top speed in excess of 120 km/h.
The 2019 Karizma could be fitted with a 15-litre fuel tank. Expect an overall mileage of anything between 35 - 40 km/l.
The 2019 Karizma gets a single-piece handlebar from the Xtreme 200R, which helps maintain an upright position. The seat isn't stepped aggressively and could be comfortable for two-up riding within the city and on the highways. The bike could weigh around 160 kgs. The expected wheelbase is 1360 mm, and the ground clearance is most likely to be around 150mm. The seat height could be the same as the previous Karizma at 810 mm.
