In the clip below, a Honda motorcycle is deftly piloted over a wooden plank littered with vicious nail heads, and comes out on the other side unscathed; with not a puncture in sight. Flabbergasted? It’s the RhinoPlex polymer formula at work, the brain child of US based Rhino Tires.
The Rhino Tire is a breakthrough technology that consists of applying of a unique RhinoPlex polymer to the interior area of the tire that will instantly seal any punctures or cuts up to 1/4 of an inch. Sprayed at a high 248 Degrees Fahrenheit, the gel becomes a part of the tire, not allowing air to escape in the event of a puncture.

The makers say that it can be applied to any type and size of tire. Bikes, motorcycles, cars, pickups or commercial trucks – all of them can have their rubbery footwear insured for life! It works on new and used tires both, with the same result. The simplicity of the whole idea make us wonder why it isn’t the norm.
The later half of the clip demonstrates the sheer ruggedness of the technology. Nails are drilled deep into the tire, then taken out. Post that, the tire surface is sprayed with a liquid that’s supposed to notify the presence of leaked air with the formation of bubbles. With the Rhino Tire, not a single bubble appears!
