Suzuki Baleno Sport

Render : Suzuki Baleno Sport answers a question nobody asked yet

The new Suzuki Baleno is all set for a October 26 launch in India. These renders however, answers a question nobody asked yet. A Baleno Sport, if it happens at all, could vaguely look something like this.

The new Baleno has been styled using Suzuki’s “Liquid Flow” design philosophy, ans we think it looks decent. Not content, automotive manipulator Theophilus Chin imagines how a Sport badge can alter things. The front bumper gets digitally re-sculpted considerably, and gets chrome, and even carbon fiber triming. The sides are highlighted by a thick chrome strip that runs along the base of the doors, along with subtle skirts. The rear bumper gets a diffuser-like element which also houses dual exhaust finishers dipped in chrome.

Dull silver mirror caps and bigger wheels seal the deal. All of this is wishful thinking, but we’d warm up to package like this, especially if the potent 1.6-litre diesel engine from the S-Cross is shoehorned into the bay. The Baleno will be positioned above the Swift, and draw power from familiar 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines.
