Hero recently launched the Vida V1 electric scooter in India. The V1 scooters will be made available in a phased manner. The scooter is available only in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Jaipur with other locations being offered soon. The bookings for the Vida are commencing today with deliveries to start in the second week of December. Hero also offers customers three long test drives. The Vida V1 is available in two variants: V1 Plus and V1 Pro. Let’s take a look at the two variants:
V1 Pro
The Vida V1 Plus electric scooter gets a futuristic design with LED illumination and a split seat setup. It packs a 3.44kWh removable battery pack with a claimed range of 143km according to the Indian Diving Cycle. It gets a top speed of 80kmph and benefits from a 6kW motor at its peak power. The V1 Plus can go from 0-40kmph in 3.4 seconds. The V1 Plus takes 5hr 15min to charge from 0-80 percent.
Both the Plus and the Pro models get features like a seven-inch TFT touchscreen with navigation, customisable ride modes along with Eco, Ride, and Sport modes, two-way throttle, limp mode, cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation, parking assist, SOS emergency alert button and key fob for keyless access. It also gets connected to technology such as scooter diagnostics, document storage, and trip analysis. The Vida V1 Plus comes in three colors- Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black and is priced at Rs 1,45,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
V1 Pro
The V1 Pro gets a larger battery of 3.94kWh, giving it an IDC range of 165km. It gets the same 6kW at peak power motor but the 0-40kmph time for the V1 Pro is 3.2 seconds which is faster than the V1 Plus by 0.2 Seconds. The V1 Pro’s top speed is also 80kmph, just like the Plus model. the V1 Pro takes 5hr 55min to charge from 0 to 80%. The V1 Pro is available in four colors- Matte Abrax Orange, Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black and it is priced at Rs 1,59,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). Both the Vida V1 model come with a standard five-year warranty for 50,000 km.
