Asia’s largest automobile convention, Auto Expo — The Motor Show 2016 organized by Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) jointly with the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will be held from 5th- 9th February, 2016 at the India Expo Mart Limited (IEML) in Greater NOIDA.
The 13th edition of the Indian Auto Expo aspires to be `Bigger, Better and More Exciting’. The gross indoor exhibition space now stands at completely air conditioned 68,000 sqms against 62,000 sqms of last year. The 2016 Auto Expo will see 65 exhibitors stage their products against 55 in 2015. Vehicle manufacturers such as Ashok Leyland, Audi India, BMW India, Datsun, Fiat India, Ford India, General Motors, Honda Cars India, Hyundai Motor India, Isuzu Motors India, Jaguar Land Rover, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki India, Mercedes-Benz India, Nissan Motor India, Renault India, Scania Commercial Vehicles India, SML Isuzu, Tata Motors, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, VE Commercial Vehicles, Volkswagen India etc. to name a few. Two wheeler manufacturers participating at the expo would be Hero MotoCorp, India Yamaha, Mahindra 2 wheelers, Piaggio Vehicles, Suzuki Motorcycle India, Triumph Motorcycles India, TVS Motor Company etc. The Auto Expo 2016 would also see Abarth, BMW Motorrad, Jeep, DSK Benelli and Indian Motorcycles throng the space at the exposition for the first time.
In addition to the vehicle showcasing by manufacturers, also on display would be high end Bicycles, Tyres and Tubes, Oil Companies, Automotive Design and Technology, Engineering and IT for Automobile Companies, Institutions, Universities, Auto Insurance Companies, and Media & Auto Portals/ Publications. Also a pavilion is being put in place for vintage cars and activity area for safety riding, driving simulators, etc.
Hospitality and food services would be taken care by 60 food stalls, 20 food kiosks, 6-8 food trucks, 7-8 specialty restaurants, a multi-cuisine Epicurean Café, 20 beverage points and 2 Five Star restaurants by “Hotel Taj” and “Hotel Radisson” .
Around 6 lakh visitors (20% more than 2015) are expected during the five public days and to facilitate accessibility, free shuttle services (DTC CNG Buses) would be provided from Botanical Garden metro station (the nearest metro station from the venue) till IEML.
Tickets to the Auto Expo 2016 can be booked online at the Auto Expo Website and BookMyShow. The ticket prices are as follows:
• INR 650 for the Business hours during weekdays (10 AM — 1 PM). Business hours ticket holders are free to access the venue at any time during the visiting hours.
• INR 300 for General public hours during weekdays (1 PM — 6 PM)
• INR 400 for weekends (10 AM — 7 PM).
Bookings for 3 to 10 tickets if made before 31st December 2015 would be entitled for free home delivery. Regular home delivery charges for any lesser bookings would be charged at INR 75 per booking till 25th January 2016. Visitors can also collect their ticket directly from exchange counters located at the parking lot near the venue in Greater Noida.
