UM Motorcycles, in an official media release today, announced that the company will unveil the world’s first electric cruiser in India during the Auto Expo 2018. This would be the global unveil for the said electric cruiser, which would be accompanied by a new 230cc Cruiser and a host of other products from the company’s existing lineup in India. The UM Motorcycles’ lineup at Auto Expo 2018 will include the Renegade Commando Classic, Renegade Commando Mojave, Renegade Commando and Renegade Sports S.
In addition to these motorcycles, UM may spring a few more ‘surprises’ at the audience at its pavilion. “We will also be unveiling the world’s first electric geared high speed cruiser and a newly designed 230cc cruiser which will showcase the prowess of UM Motorcycles at the Auto Expo. We are expecting a healthy footfall as we have some great surprises for the visitors which they can only experience at the stand”, said Mr. Rajeev Mishra, CEO-UMLohia Two Wheelers Pvt. Ltd

Another important model at the UM Motorcycles exhibit at the Auto Expo will be the UM Renegade Duty, which is an entry-level cruiser motorcycle. The motorcycle gets three engine options internationally, a 124cc carb engine, a 124cc FI engine and a 149cc motor.
UM Motorcycles could also plonk in the 230cc single cylinder engine from its existing India portfolio into the bike, and that, may well become the motorcycle that the company is talking about. If not, one can expect the Renegade Duty to source power from the 149cc single cylinder engine that produces 12.92 hp of power at 7630 rpm and 11.32 Nm of torque at 6360 rpm.
In addition to these bikes, also expect a UM Adventure Tourer, Renegade Commando and Renegade Sports S (carbureted) to be showcased at the 2018 Expo.
