Auto Expo 2018: Tata Tigor JTP Performance Compact Sedan Revealed

Along with its Hatch twin, Tata also unveiled the performance version of its popular compact sedan, the Tigor JTP. As with the hatch, this is the off-spring of the alliance between Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives Pvt. Ltd. and this is designed with the young sporty customers in mind.

The sedan has received a host of aesthetic upgrades to make it appear sportier. The front gets a gloss blacked out treatment which goes well with the red JTP badging up front. The sides get aggressive skirts and contrast red treatment for the ORVMs.

The tyres appear to have been upsized and now feature a sharper alloy design that goes well with the svelte figure of the car.

The rear gets faux grille and diffuser treatment with a gloss black insert running across the boot lid instead of the thick chrome bar seen on the normal compact sedan. Here too, we can see the twin exhaust tips that set it apart from its lesser alter-ego.

Inside, the Tigor JTP gets an all-black theme with contrast red inserts around the HVAC vents. The seats get black leather cladding with red JTP badging and contrast stitching.

Tata is tight-lipped about the mechanicals of the car but expect it to be powered by the 1.2 L turbo petrol unit from the Nexon which should give it the brawn to match those sporty looks.
