Mahindra has released its official statement about participation in the 2018 Auto Expo. The Indian UV maker will participate in Auto Expo 2018 with the theme ‘Future of Mobility’. And since the foreseeable future of mobility, as we all know, is Electric, the carmaker will unveil as many as 6 electric vehicles at the auto show. The electric lineup will also include 2 electric powered concepts, somewhat on the likes of the Halo Electric supercars it shows in the previous iteration of the Auto Expo. The ‘Future Of Mobility’ according to Mahindra will be based on three pillars – Clean, Connected & Convenient.

Along with the new electric cars, Mahindra will also showcase its new Electric Architecture on which its cars will be based. The new platform is expected to emerge from the Bangalore based Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicle wing of the carmaker, which focuses solely on EVs. Mahindra claims that its EV range for India at the 2018 Auto Expo will be the widest among all OEMs in India.
In addition to the EVs the Indian UV maker will showcase its aspirational global SUV (Mahindra badged Rexton) and a Stinger concept of one of the popular SUVs. Mahindra claims that the new SUVs will be ‘nothing short of being objects of desire’. Mahindra is also expected to showcase the 2018 XUV500 facelift, new XUV700, or essentially the Ssangyong Rexton in a Mahindra Garb, the Ssangyong Tivoli based compact SUV, Mahindra Bolero Facelift, ROXOR off-roader and the much awaited U321 MPV at the Auto Expo 2018 along with the aforementioned products.
