The new 2015 Toyota Camry has been unveiled at the ongoing 2014 New York International Auto Show.
Toyota has described the 2015 Camry as totally “re-imagined” and the Camry facelift gets updated exteriors that feature design cues taken from the Avalon. The car gets a new front bumper with a larger grille and a bigger air intake, new headlights, new mirrors and revised taillights. The Camry SE gets black accents and mesh grille for the front fascia, both of which work to give it a sportier look. The XSE variant gets all these visual updates, along with a sport-tuned suspension, firmer bushings and higher rate coil springs, revised power steering system and bespoke 18-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, the car gets additional sound deadening material, satin chrome accents and a new instrument cluster that has a 4.2-inch TFT display. The car also gets a 12V outlet, a USB port and a wireless smartphone charging system.
Engine options have been carried over from the pre-facelift model and include-
- A 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 178 bhp (133 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque
- A hybridized 2.5-liter four-cylinder with a combined output of 200 bhp (149 kW)
- A 3.5-liter V6 with 268 bhp (200 kW) and 248 lb-ft (336 Nm) of torque
The 2015 Toyota Camry will go on sale in North America this fall
