Bengaluru based E3 Electric has now entered the electric scooter market with the Trion. Prices start at Rs 99,999 and the scooter is offered in three versions called C1, C1x and C2.
The Trion has been designed for daily use and gets a long list of connected features. Bookings have started in Bengaluru through E3 Electric’s website. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in September.

The C1 uses a 2.3kWh removable battery. It can travel up to 108km according to the IDC test figure and takes around 2 hours 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent.
The C1x gets a bigger 3kWh battery and has the highest claimed range of 165km. Its 0 to 80 percent charging time is 3 hours 30 minutes. The C2 also uses a 3kWh battery but gets a stronger motor and a higher top speed.
Motor And Battery Details
The C1 and C1x use a 2.5kW motor with a claimed top speed of 67kmph. The C2 gets a 3.5kW motor and can reach 82kmph.
The scooter uses LFP battery technology and offers both portable and fixed battery choices depending on the variant. E3 says the battery can be covered by a warranty of up to eight years or one lakh kilometres.

The Trion gets a 5-inch display with smartphone connectivity. The C1x and C2 also get features such as charging information and adaptive learning.
E3 has added several connected functions to the scooter:

The company says its system can study vehicle data and identify possible issues before they turn into major problems.
Practical Features
The Trion is not only about software. It has 14-inch wheels for better road grip and stability. The scooter also gets LED lighting with projector headlamps and signature rear lamps.
There is plenty of space for daily items too. The combined storage capacity is up to 52 litres across the boot, floorboard and glove box.
The design takes inspiration from a Mars Rover and the scooter is available in six colours including Solar Red, Misty Green, Graphite Grey, Nova Blue, Teal Blue and Luna White.
