Tata has commenced the bookings for the Tiago EV for a token amount of ₹21000. The Tata Tiago which was first released in 2016 has got an all-new EV version this year. It becomes the 3rd EV car in Tata’s EV car line-up along with Tata Tigor EV, Tata Nexon EV Prime, and Tata Nexon EV Max. The owners of the Tigor EV and the Nexon EV variants get more privileges from Tata as the first 2000 out of 10000 available units are reserved for them. The introductory price of ₹8.49 lakh is applicable only for the aforementioned first 10000 units.
Tata Tiago EV is available in 5 different colors – Tropical Mist, Midnight Plum, Pristine White, Teal Blue, and Daytona Grey. Customers can start booking the car by paying an amount of Rs 21,000 either online or at an authorized Tata Motors dealership. The test drive for the Tiago EV is set to start in late December this year. The Tiago EV comes in 7 variants with different charging options and battery packs.

Tiago EV uses high-voltage ziptron technology. It offers a digital drive, an ultimate customized driving experience with multi-mode regen, and two drive modes – City &Sport. The 24kWh battery pack delivers a Modified Indian Driving Cycle (MIDC) range of 315km for longer daily driving needs and the 19.2kWh battery pack for short and frequent trips delivers an estimated MIDC range of 250km.
The Tiago EV also comes with four different charging options- A 15A plug point, A standard 3.3kW AC charger, and A 7.2kW AC home fast charger that can add 35kms range with 30min of charging. It also aids full charging of the vehicle (from 10% – 100%) in 3 hr 36 mins, DC fast charging which can add 110kms of range with 30mins of charging and can charge 10%- 80%in 57 mins.
