Hyundai Ioniq revealed

Here’s How Far The Hyundai Ioniq 6 Can Go In A Single Charge

According to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure, Hyundai Motor Company announced that its IONIQ 6 electrified streamliner is set to deliver 614 km of all-electric range per charge. The IONIQ 6 will be one of the most energy-efficient electric vehicles (EV) on the market with WLTP-rated energy consumption of 13.9 kWh/100 km2. The Hyundai IONIQ 6 will go on sale later this year in select markets in Europe and next year in North America. The Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP)- Hyundai Motor Group’s dedicated architecture for EVs, delivers optimal electric performance and provides 800V ultra-fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes and supports 400V charging without the need for additional components or adapters.

Hyundai Motor maximized IONIQ 6’s all-electric driving range through extensive aerodynamic design and engineering work and also has a coefficient of 0.21 which is the lowest in Hyundai’s entire line-up. An active air flap, wheel air curtains, integrated rear spoiler, and wheel gap reducers, significantly enhanced IONIQ 6’s aerodynamics performance. The wheel gap reducers minimize the empty space between the front bumper and tires to improve aerodynamic performance around the wheel wells.  The IONIQ 6 is set to come in two variants, the long-range version which comes with a battery pack of 77.4-kW and can travel a maximum distance of 614 km, and the short-range version which features a 53-kW battery and can travel a maximum distance of 429 km. the car is also set to come in an all=wheel drive variant which features the 77.4-kW battery pack and is set to go a maximum distance of 584 km per charge.

“From the start of IONIQ 6’s development, we set our sights on making it the leading all-electric range EV,” said Jae Ho Huh, Head of the Sub-Mid Project Management Center at Hyundai Motor Company. “To become the global leader in electric vehicles, we are committed to providing the best possible EV performance and ownership experience.” According to reports, the business is getting ready to introduce the face-lifted Kona EV and locally assemble the IONIQ 5 EV in India when it is launched. No official announcement has been made by Hyundai on whether the IONIQ 6 will arrive in India.
