2022 Maruti Alto To Launch On This Date

We can confirm that the all-new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be launching on the 18th of August. The Alto K10 will be completely new from the ground up and it will even be based on a new platform. We expect the bookings to officially commence a week before the launch of the hatchback. Let’s take a look at what we can expect from it:

The pictures of the new generation Alto were leaked recently. It is clear that the Alto K10 will get a bunch of exterior and interior updates. The 2022 Alto comes with a clean design with a Celerio-inspired grille and tail lamp design. There is no sign of LED DRLs or lighting. The side of this car will be equipped with 13-inch steel wheels. Talking about the dimensions, the Alto measures 3,530 mm in length, 1,490 mm in width, and 1,520mm in height. While the wheelbase of this hatchback is 2,380 mm, It has a gross weight of 1,150 kg. The 2022 Alto is around 85 mm longer, 45mm taller, and has a 20 mm longer wheelbase than the current Alto, but the width is still the same at 1490 mm.

This new generation hatchback of Maruti will be powered by a 1.0-liter K10C DualJet engine which produces 67 hp and 89 nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT and also gets idle start/stop for improved fuel efficiency. Alto will also offer a 1.0-liter engine exclusively which is the reason behind its K10 moniker. The Alto K10 will be available in 12 variants including STD, LXI, VXI, and VXI+. Each of these variants will get an optional (O) variant as well with additional safety features. The automatic trim will be available in VXI and VXI+ variants in addition to their respective (O) variants as well.

The redesigned interior gets a Smartplay infotainment system that comes with smartphone connectivity like android auto and apple car play. Other details include a digital instrument cluster. The AC is manual and the ORVMs are manually adjustable as well. There are no steering-mounted audio controls on offer as well. The new generation Alto comes in six colour options including White, Silver, Grey, Red, Blue, and Gold.
